Protection of printed circuit boards by resin

Company Electrolube manufactures several types of resins for protect against dust, mechanical wear, chemicals and water. The most common is an epoxy resin which has better thermal conductivity than air and than it better transfers heat from the surface of the PCB and the electronic parts mounted and soldered. Another type is a polyurethane resin which is against epoxy more flexible and better protects smaller components, which is designed for less thermally stressed aplications. The last type is silicon resin, which is the most expensive of the three, but with the best properties such as heat resistance, color stability (resistance against UV radiation), which are the best for applications with LEDs diodes or higher heat resistance, the disadvantage is a longer hardening time.
